Location: Leamington Spa – Hybrid (2-3 days in the office)

Contract Type: 37.5 hours per week, permanent contract

About the role

The Finance Assistant plays a key role in ensuring the smooth operation of the finance function. This role is responsible for end‑to‑end Accounts Payable processes, supporting month‑end activities, maintaining strong financial controls, and providing excellent service to both internal and external stakeholders.

Role Responsibilities:

· Manage finance inbox, ensuring timely responses.

· Process stock, non‑stock, and property invoices, credit card returns, expenses and petty cash claims, maintaining accuracy and VAT compliance.

· Manage held invoices and complete supplier statement reconciliations, resolving discrepancies.

· Prepare and process payment runs within agreed terms.

· Perform sales import postings, facilitating accurate information flow to the business.

· Post and analyse cash receipts, escalating discrepancies as required.

· Support month‑end close by preparing prepayments and accruals.

· Train and support users on the purchase order, credit card, and expenses systems.

· Perform general office and administrative duties.

What we are looking for:

· Experience in a finance or accounting support role (desirable).

· Strong understanding of transactional finance processes.

· High level of accuracy and attention to detail.

· Ability to work independently, managing multiple deadlines and priorities.

· Strong Excel and financial systems skills.

· Strong interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills.

· Proactive problem-solver with a continuous improvement mindset.
